COMIC BOOK FANS AND POP-CULTURE LOVERS UNLEASH THEIR GEEK ON DAY TWO OF MEFCC 2020

Middle East Film & Comic Con has opened its door for the second day of its fun-filled film, comic and gaming extravaganza, attracting fans of all ages and interests at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Running until Saturday 7 March 2020, Middle East Film & Comic Con day two gives fans of film the opportunity to hear from their favorite celebrities during a ‘full celebrity panel’ on the mainstage. An all celebrity panel will bring together Aladdin’s Mena Massoud, John Rhys-Davies, the dwarf warrior Gimli from Lord of the Rings, Joseph David-Jones from American TV shows Nashville and Arrow, Superman star Brandon Routh and femme fatale Elodie Yung to talk about their characters, careers and share their behind the scenes stories.  

The Mainstage will also see multi-award-winning Scottish and Canadian rock and pop band the Boxtones get fans rocking. Throughout the weekend, Just Dance 2020, the ultimate dance game with 40 of the hottest tracks, will get fans battling it out with their dance moves with their families and friends.

The highlight of the annual event, the Cosplay Competition, kicks off at 6 pm for the have-a-go superheroes, Saiyan warriors, fighting robots, or Kaijus. With a prize pool of AED 8,000 plus the chance to represent the UAE at the World Cosplay Summit taking place in Japan later this year, you can expect to see spectacular performances and costumes from the contestants.

Film lovers can watch exclusive screenings of Manga Production’s Future Folktales: The Brave Antara, Magnificent Man and M1DASfrom 5:30 pm onwards.
