Hisense marks Middle East launch of super-sturdy ‘King Kong’ smartphone

At a gala ceremony held in Dubai, Hisense, a world leading manufacturer of flat panel TVs, household appliances, and mobile communications, marked the Middle East launch of its much-awaited super-sturdy smartphone, the one and only ‘King Kong.’
A tough piece of hardware that is protected with a super-sturdy surface and robust Gorilla Glass screen, the King Kong pushes the durability factor of smartphones to the next level, while also assuring unmatched features that will appeal to all.
Perfectly positioned for hikers, mountaineers and other adventurers, Hisense King Kong is shatter-proof, and has IP 54 dust-proof and water-proof rating. At just 9.4 mm thickness, a length of 144 mm and width of 71.9 mm, it is also extremely sleek for its sturdiness and has remarkable computing features. This unique smart phone is also valuable for consumers who unknowingly drop their phones due to their nature of work, hectic lifestyle or at home, when their toddlers play with it.
With a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon Quad Core 1.2 GHz central processing unit, it works on the Android 4.4 KitKat with Hisense Vision UI2.10 software. Featuring a 5” 294 PPI HD display, it has Dolby Digital Surround and two cameras – one 8MP, 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus and with LED flash, and the other 2.0MP. The King Kong has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory in addition to a micro SD slot; the 3,000 mAh battery is non-removable and with long-lasting performance.
